Two Wahines on the beach . . . That’s how it all started.

Once the star-struck vacationer who came to visit and never left, Powell Berger founded Two Wahines on the Beach in 2004. Maybe it was the magical experiences of quality family time shared on Kailua Beach, or maybe it was just fate. After more than twenty years in Washington DC's world of politics and public affairs, trading the DC beltway for Kailua sunsets was a no-brainer. Powell, her husband Fred, and their three children relocated to Kailua, found a home near the beach, and put down roots. Powell grew up in Mississippi, studied history and political science at Emory University, found her first career assignment in the United States Senate, and spent twenty years as a Washington lobbyist. With a passion for island homes and the magic they create, Powell got her real estate sales persons license in 2004, and her broker’s license in 2007.
